Event: Dino Dash – The Great Hunt!

Welcome to the Dino Dash – The Great Hunt! A race and survival competition that tests your skills, speed, and ability to tame and track the wildest creatures on your Ark. This event uses the native creatures of our server for an adrenaline-packed adventure that brings tribes together for a day of hunting, racing, and taming!

How It Works:

Event Description:
Dino Dash is a thrilling race where tribes must team up to capture and race a unique, designated dinosaur through an obstacle course filled with challenges. The course takes you through different biomes, each one filled with its own dangers, from hostile wildlife to natural obstacles.

Objective:
The goal is to capture a wild, rare dinosaur (native to the server) and ride it across a challenging race course. Along the way, teams will encounter obstacles such as environmental hazards, aggressive creatures, and tricky terrain. The first tribe to complete the course with their dinosaur wins, earning unique prizes and bragging rights!

Event Setup:

  1. Choose a Dinosaur:
For each server, the event will feature native dinosaurs. For example, if you’re on The Island server, your dinosaur pool might include Raptors, Trikes, and Sabers.
  2. Course Design:
The event’s race track will include various zones (forest, swamp, desert, snow, etc.) that showcase different challenges and terrain types.
  3. Taming Stations:
Tribes must capture the dinosaur they plan to race with. Specific tamed dinosaurs will be provided at stations, but they must be “earned” through challenges such as taming a wild dino or completing mini-tasks around the map (like gathering rare resources or rescuing NPCs from hostile dinos).
  4. Rules:
    • Teams of 2-4 players (or more depending on server size).
    • The race begins when all teams are in place, and a whistle sounds.
    • The dinosaur must be ridden through the course from start to finish. Teams must stick to the route and face the challenges in their path. If your dino dies, the team must forfeit.
    • Only non-flying creatures are allowed to race, ensuring that everyone has a fair chance with the same base speed.

Prizes: Any of the following may occur.

  1. Champion’s Trophy:
The winning team gets a custom trophy or unique in-game title, such as “Dino Dash Champions!” This could be displayed in the tribe’s base or put on a special pedestal as a mark of victory.
  2. Exclusive Skins:
Winners will receive exclusive skins or cosmetics, such as dinosaur saddle skins, dino armor sets, or custom color patterns for their race-winning dinosaur.
  3. Resource Packs:
A special reward with rare resources or crafting materials, including element, rare blueprints, or high-end gear to give the winners an advantage in future events or gameplay.
  4. Dino Pet:
For the ultimate prize, the winning team could receive a high-level, genetically modified creature (maybe with special colors or mutations) that they can use for future events or in-game advantages.

Bonus Activities:

  • Obstacle Training:
Before the main race, tribes can take part in training challenges where they must practice overcoming obstacles like jumping, dodging, and surviving ambushes. Winners of these mini-games will earn extra perks (speed boosts, time reductions) for the main race.
  • Creature Camouflage Challenge:
Each team must customize their dinosaur to match a certain biome (e.g., making it look like it’s from the jungle, tundra, or desert). Judges will award creativity, and the best camouflaged dinos could get a special advantage in the race.

Event Atmosphere:

  • Spectator Zones:
Create special spectator areas where other players can cheer on their favorite teams and watch the race unfold on massive screens (or by just watching live!).
  • Interactive Leaderboards:
An in-game scoreboard will track the leading teams, showing their times and the ranks of each tribe, so players can follow the action in real-time.

These are all ideas for our next event. Please stay tuned.
